The New Year started with our AGM on Sunday the 21st of January. The Committee has stayed the same with:
Saturday February 17th brings our Annual Show at a new location, The Barn, Viables, The Harrow Way, Basingstoke. RG22 4BJ.
There is plenty room for parking whilst visiting.
We will also need help from members, with presents for the tombola, cakes for the refreshment area, plants for our display on the small stage; as well as orchids we will need some large and small foliage plants. Please put them in black pots and label them with your name.
We will be requiring the plants between 09.00 and 10.00 on the morning.
We will also need members to give a bit of their time on the Saturday, helping with the 1001 jobs that need to be done throughout the day. If you haven't already put your name down just ask and you will be found a task, be it large or small. We would like this year's show to be successful, with your help we can achieve this.
The orchid traders selling plants will be Plesteds, Ratcliffe and Laurence Hobbs, with Plants Plus selling sundries.
Not much to do in the greenhouse at present just keep an eye open for bugs, watch for new growths, make sure the heating is working.
Sorry this newsletter is so small but due to a family bereavement things are a bit hectic.
